Is OWCP the same as state workers' compensation?
No. Federal employees are covered by the Federal Employees' Compensation Act, administered by the Department of Labor's Office of Workers' Compensation Programs, not by a state system. The forms and the rules are different.
How quickly should I report an injury?
As soon as you can. Deadlines apply and the record of when you reported matters. If time has already passed, call us and we will tell you where you stand.
Will this affect my job?
